Clean Children’s Toys
Let’s face it—our children’s beloved toys can get pretty gross. Between handling them with sticky fingers, putting them in their mouths, and bringing them everywhere, children’s toys are breeding grounds for harmful microorganisms. In fact, a study tested 50 toys and found mould and/or bacteria on all 50 of them. Needless to say, it’s crucial that every parent learn how to thoroughly and effectively disinfect their children’s toys.
Simply follow these steps:
For toys without batteries:
Mix equal parts Hydrogen Peroxide 3% – Oxygen PlusTM and water in a big tub or bowl.
Place the toys in the tub so that they are submerged in the solution. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
Wait until the liquid stops bubbling, then rinse the toys off with water and let them dry.
For toys with batteries:
Remove all batteries and/or unplug toy.
Mix equal parts Hydrogen Peroxide 3% – Oxygen PlusTM and water in a bowl.
Dip a rag or paper towel into the solution and carefully wipe down the toys.
Keep a dry cloth handy to wipe off excess liquid so it doesn’t reach the internal areas.
