use in organic gardening hydrogen peroxide

If you have an organic garden, you’re likely always on the lookout for ways to deal with pests and support your plants’ health and growth that don’t involve the use of synthetic chemicals that can harm people, the environment, or animals. This is where [hpplants] comes in. Hydrogen peroxide is considered appropriate for use in organic gardens because it quickly breaks down into harmless oxygen and water molecules and is considered environmentally friendly and sustainable. When diluted to the right concentrations, hydrogen peroxide can benefit your organic garden in a number of amazing ways.

Simply follow these steps:

  1. 1

Combine 1 teaspoon of Hydrogen Peroxide 3% – Oxygen Plus for PlantsTM per 1 cup of water into a spray bottle.

  2. 2

    Mist the plant.

Note: This solution is also suitable for pretreating seeds to control fungal infections.

First of all, what is hydrogen peroxide? Chemically speaking, hydrogen peroxide (H202) is very similar in composition to water (H20)—the only difference is hydrogen peroxide has an extra molecule of oxygen. In fact, hydrogen peroxide is naturally found in rainwater. Have you ever noticed that your plants seem to grow an inch after a good rain? You’re not imagining it! Studies have shown that rainwater benefits plants more than regular tap water due to its hydrogen peroxide content. By spraying your plants with this gentle solution, you’re replicating the natural composition of raindrops—and plants absolutely thrive on it.

Although hydrogen peroxide is not a fertilizer, it works in a similar way when sprayed onto your plants. The additional oxygen molecule found in hydrogen peroxide helps plants’ roots better absorb nutrients from the surrounding soil which leads to faster, healthier, and more vigorous growth over time. A diluted hydrogen peroxide solution is beneficial to plants at any stage in their growth cycle, from seedlings to fully mature plants.

Containing no chlorine, alcohols, acids, or other dangerous chemical additives, hydrogen peroxide is non-toxic, environmentally friendly, and safe to use around your whole family, including your pets.
